Ermelo

Ermelo is a somewhat larger village on the edge of the Veluwe. There is also much to do and see so the center is filled with nice stores to shop and restaurants where you can eat. Around Ermelo there are several camping & bungalow parks where you can enjoy the Veluwe nature. You can also visit visit the Ermelo sheepfold, or take a look at the Staverden estate. There is also a swimming pool and a canoe pond in the middle of the village where you can enjoy canoeing. There is also a climbing forest nearby where children can safely climb to great heights.

Within cycling distance of Ermelo is beach Horst, this is a recreational area where you can certainly enjoy several days with good weather. For example, you can learn to windsurf on the Nuldernauw, besides windsurfing you can also kitesurf or practice other water sports. On land, it is possible to play paintball with friends or enjoy a ball on the Pitch&Putt golf course, fun to do with the kids! Furthermore, you can of course also just sunbathe and swim at beach Horst.

From the VeluweSpecialist in Garderen you can electric bicycles rent and bike to Ermelo via Staverden estate through various forests and heathlands. A beautiful route which you can ideally combine with, for example, a visit to the windmill or museum het Pakhuis in Ermelo. At the VeluweSpecialist you can also mountain bikes or balance bikes rentals, great for a day out on the Veluwe. In short, Ermelo is a versatile village where you can enjoy various activities and attractions.
