We were met by 2 girls who received us extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Everything was clearly explained and we were offered a beautiful bicycle route which we gratefully accepted. Nice that there were toilets available. Next time we would use the Veluwe Specialst again!

Superb route received. The Mussel-Owl Forest Route. Staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. Equipment was not brand new, but functioned just fine. Did miss one junction though. This is number 78. At junction Doesburgse Molenweg with the railroad we read 60 and 7. And no 78. There must have been an 8 omitted. Because indeed 78 is meant there. Confirmed by consulting google streetview. Therefore resulted in a somewhat alternative continuation of the route. Honestly did not look at the sign very closely. Might have seen something of the 8 then. Did think there must be something wrong with the signage readable from the bike.

The parent child tandem was not technically sound. Only the 3rd one we got was reasonably ok but brakes still substandard. Through our own vigilance we returned the 1st 2 bikes. Saddles not or very difficult to adjust, rear wheel was loose (!), brakes not in order. Normal bike was fine.

The reception outside at the echopper started out a bit unclear. When picking out helmets, no real directions or tips were given on how to properly put on and fit your helmet. Otherwise fine.

We had a very nice day, however, the route was very short. We were 45min early while we made a stop at the restaurant. Would be nice to add something extra for the faster riders.

Fine bike (for a rental bike), good range battery. Consider this a positive criticism: brakes and tires should be checked better before bikes are issued. Tools to fix e.g. stand not available.
