"Superb route received. The Mussel-Owl Forest Route. Staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. Equipment was not brand new, but functioned just fine. Did miss one junction though. This is number 78. At junction Doesburgse Molenweg with the railroad we read 60 and 7. And no 78. There must have been an 8 omitted. Because indeed 78 is meant there. Confirmed by consulting google streetview. Therefore resulted in a somewhat alternative continuation of the route. Honestly did not look at the sign very closely. Might have seen something of the 8 then. Did think there must be something wrong with the signage readable from the bike. "

"Last Thursday we rented an elek bike and elek Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) for a trip across the veluwe with our dog. We were warmly welcomed and everything was well explained. What is very unfortunate is that the cargo bikes have no doors, very inconvenient for our dog of over 30 kg. Perhaps an idea to have half the cargo bikes with doors so people can choose. After only 1 junction we had a near accident with a touringcar so we cycled back to have everything checked and to recover from the serious shock of this accident through no fault of our own. Nevertheless we got back on our bikes and started our tour again. It was a nice trip, but the paths are a bit narrow for cargo bikes and oncoming traffic, so you regularly encounter irritated cyclists, unfortunately. The Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) cycled well, although it has little suspension in my opinion. They were very helpful in terms of how I wanted to secure my dog and we received a second battery, which we did not have to use. Despite the agony we went through at the beginning of our trip, it ended up being a beautiful day. Hopefully we can repeat this again except for the first part and then in a Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) with a door ;) Mvg Wendy van Wijk "

"My bike disappointed me , I had to ask myself before departure if my front brake could be adjusted, during the ride it turned out that right did not do anything at all. Rear tire was too soft or wheel not okay because in the corners not stable. Nice route but I prefer to ride a bike that is technically sound. Bikes seem a bit older and then regular maintenance is definitely needed."

"Inside front wheel e-bike was unreliable. Upon returning the bike, I described the malfunction in detail to an employee. His subsequent response was along the lines of waving it away, it came across to me that my report was not taken seriously or not taken seriously enough. I was lucky that I did not get stuck on the heath with a broken wheel-inside (we made a bike ride of 85km). With my report I obviously also wanted to avoid the risk that this might happen to a user after me. Otherwise, the staff was fine."

Dangerous in loose sand and semi-sandy, pebbles, so you easily get into a skid. And with these bikes I find it 'hard work', not relaxed riding. But I did make a beautiful trip. Garderen is a nice central starting point for versatile nature. "*Have asked if there were dog carrier bikes. Was told yes, but was just for kids, had to lift a 35 kg golden retriever in and out every time. *Was just on the road we had to go back for another saddle, this one moved in all directions. To the front , back, left and right. Just bad. *The gear was also not right , almost have to go to the gym to get the gear in a lower position. Switching up sometimes worked , sometimes not *Also had to ask if the tires could be inflated, was not done *Had to call the store again during a stop to ask for the numbers for the lock, was not told when the bike was handed over. *The support stopped, even after replacing a 2nd battery provided. So rode about 7km without support. Can tell you not pleasant with a Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) and a dog of 35kg in it. *On return we got no money back or a part, but a voucher. Very nice if you leave the day after! All in all a VERY SLOW experience with the Veluwe specialist. will NOT RECOMMEND the store to others. Complaints are handled poorly with a voucher. "
