"Last Thursday we rented an elek bike and elek Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) for a trip across the veluwe with our dog. We were warmly welcomed and everything was well explained. What is very unfortunate is that the cargo bikes have no doors, very inconvenient for our dog of over 30 kg. Perhaps an idea to have half the cargo bikes with doors so people can choose. After only 1 junction we had a near accident with a touringcar so we cycled back to have everything checked and to recover from the serious shock of this accident through no fault of our own. Nevertheless we got back on our bikes and started our tour again. It was a nice trip, but the paths are a bit narrow for cargo bikes and oncoming traffic, so you regularly encounter irritated cyclists, unfortunately. The Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) cycled well, although it has little suspension in my opinion. They were very helpful in terms of how I wanted to secure my dog and we received a second battery, which we did not have to use.
Despite the agony we went through at the beginning of our trip, it ended up being a beautiful day. Hopefully we can repeat this again except for the first part and then in a Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) with a door ;)

"You offer cargo bikes suitable for dogs. This was disappointing, the Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) was not really nice for the dog. No boarding possibility ( door is actually just necessary with larger dogs) so we had to lift ( 38 kg!).
Also the bench that was in it makes the space considerably smaller.
Maybe it is useful to indicate whether you take children or dog? And with dog what size? So that the Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) is adjusted. Also a non-slip mat was missing.
I have also asked beforehand and at pickup about possibilities to let loose along the route, unfortunately you could not give that information. And what was told was not correct.
Would be a fantastic service if that could also be indicated during the ride, or in advance."

Technical condition of the cargo bikes was not great.
1 Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) had several screws that were loose and the cords to secure the hood with were missing at several eyes.
A screw was also missing at one of the Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) load bars, so it was just hanging there loosely. It did not support the hood.
Another good advice, try to avoid the forest paths with tricycles.
At the other Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) also several screws that were loose. One of the disc brakes
front did not work so that when braking the bike pulled dangerously to the left.
Children's chairs could not be mounted in the cargo bikes.
Better information about seats for the smallest children.
One of the electric bikes also had a loose saddle. I ended up exchanging the bike and later found a loose mudguard.
We were given the wrong route map so the others could not be traced. Quarter past nine arrived to pick up the bikes and finally an hour later the last cyclist left Veluwe specialist.
The word specialist can be taken off the facade as far as I am concerned.

"The battery was dead before I got to Putten......the friendly man from there had provided an extra battery but we did not dare to go too far!
The rental turned out to be very expensive almost 200 euros for 4 days, the weather was bad the first 2 days (hail and rain) I called to be allowed to reschedule the days, we were there for another week. According to Denise who I had on the phone, this was absolutely not possible and in rain and hail you can just pick up the bike and cycle...no eye for vacations, if I could then cancel....yes sure but then you will lose all your money! My mother celebrates her birthday here we were going to go with those yellow scooters with fat tires, but we scrapped that. and my mother and sister needed an electric bike, we rented it elsewhere. My work outing is not going through you guys either, we'll think of something else....this is what NOT customer friendly does! Not to mention word of mouth.... missed opportunity! Never again the Veluwe specialist!"
