Last Thursday we rented an elek bike and elek Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) for a trip across the veluwe with our dog. We were warmly received and everything was well explained. What is very unfortunate is that the cargo bikes have no doors, very inconvenient for our dog of over 30 kg. Perhaps an idea to have half of the cargo bikes with doors so people can choose. After only 1 junction we had a near accident with a touringcar so we cycled back to have everything checked and to recover from the serious shock of this accident through no fault of our own. Nevertheless we got back on our bikes and started our tour again. It was a nice trip, but the paths are a bit narrow for cargo bikes and oncoming traffic, so you regularly encounter irritated cyclists, unfortunately. The Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) cycled well, although it has little suspension in my opinion. They were very helpful in terms of how I wanted to secure my dog and we received a second battery, which we did not have to use. Despite the agony we experienced at the beginning of our trip, it ended up being a beautiful day. Hopefully we can repeat this again except for the first part and then in a Bakfiets (Dutch cargo bike) with a door ;) Regards Wendy van Wijk

I was disappointed with my bike, I had to ask before departure if my front brake could be adjusted, during the ride it turned out that the right one did nothing at all. Rear tire was too soft or wheel not okay because in the corners not stable. Nice route but I prefer to ride a bike that is technically sound. Bikes seem a bit older and then regular maintenance is definitely needed.

We enjoyed the ride around Garderen with our team. Too bad the front steps of the e shopper are rickety. Otherwise they ride fine!

Inside front wheel e-bike was unreliable. When returning the bike I described the malfunction in detail to an employee. His subsequent reaction was along the lines of waving it away, it came across to me that my report was not taken seriously or not taken seriously enough. I was lucky that I did not get stuck on the heath with a broken wheel-inside (we made a bike ride of 85km). With my report I obviously also wanted to avoid the risk that this might happen to a user after me. Otherwise, the staff was fine.

Had a wonderful day on the Veluwe. Beautiful e-choppers, well organized and clear explanations from staff. Route with nodes on your phone works fine. If we had to mention something we found a little less were the narrow bike paths that with the crowds on a sunny Sunday sometimes a little difficult to ride. Frequent stops to give cyclists space. But of course the VeluweSpecialist can't do anything about that. Anyway, a real top day!!! Thanks!

We had a nice afternoon on the e-chopper. I found the route via the nodes less convenient. I would recommend using some kind of Google-actige/Route You app. There could also be a bit more interaction. There were some nice things in it, such as the group photo on the heath.

My daughter and I had an enjoyable ride! Clear, patient instructions before departure(for us the first time on such an echopper, the explanations will be tig times a day for the staff but was told to us with enthusiasm!) Nice route and centrally located for a drink and/or snack before or after.
