Terlet Airfield

This airfield can be found just below Arnhem. It is an airfield exclusively for gliders. It was founded in 1930 at Terletse Heide as part of the Royal Dutch Aviation Association. The purpose of its establishment was to encourage youth to learn to fly or to choose a profession in aviation. Since 1995, the airfield has been transferred to the National Gliding Center Terlet Foundation. The grounds are owned by the Forestry Commission.
