Sometimes it seems as if time has stood still in Hoog Buurlo, for it is a real Veluwe hamlet. It consists of two houses and two sheepfolds in a beautiful setting of heathland, fields, game walls, forests and Veluwe moorland sheep. So you might call that a hamlet.... The sheepfold still serves as a night shelter for the flock, this has not changed since the 9th century!

You can visit this old sheepfold and enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings. In peace and quiet you can enjoy the Veluwe here, without lots of people, cars and noise around you. From the Veluwe Specialist Hoenderloo it is not far to the sheepfold. This makes it ideal combine with a nice trip over the Veluwe with for example the E-choppers or electric bicycles.
