The Roekel forest

The Roekel forest

Website: roekelsebos.com

In this beautiful forest you will find mostly pine trees, but also birch, oak and beech trees. On old postcards you sometimes still see 'Otterloo'. 'Loo' is a historical name for a forest. Over the years this has been shortened to Otterlo. In 1960, the forest came into the possession of the Municipality of Ede and was opened to the public.
