The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a twilight hike across the Wekeromse Zand on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The Wekeromse Zand is worth visiting at any time of day. Still, there are certain times of day when you have the chance to experience the area in a different way. This applies to sunrise, but certainly also to twilight—the moment when the sun sets and the colors of the landscape change. The chances of spotting wildlife are greater then. Of course, it remains to be seen, because nature cannot be controlled. A walk in this area is always an experience. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: starts at 8:00 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation fee: 6.00 euros per person; 3.00 euros per person for donors upon presentation of a valid GLK donor card.
Tip from the forest ranger: Participants should be aware that part of the hike takes place on loose sand. This hike is not suitable for children under 12 or people with limited mobility. Dogs are not allowed.
