The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a tour of spring-blooming plants at the Staverden estate on Saturday, March 21, 2026. In the spring, before the new leaves have appeared on the trees, spring-blooming plants take advantage of the light. Wood anemone, March violet, and lesser celandine are the best-known species, but there are many more blooming here. Thanks to its favorable location in the heart of the Veluwe, as well as sufficient groundwater, the Staverden Estate is an ideal habitat for many plants. Whether you want to know the names of all the species or simply enjoy everything that grows and blooms here, it doesn’t matter. The forest ranger will guide participants through the estate’s most beautiful spots. Advance online registration is required.
