STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a spring walk on the Staverden estate on Sunday, March 15, 2026. In spring, when the trees have not yet sprouted new leaves, spring flowers benefit from the light. Wood anemones, March violets, and lesser celandine are the best-known species, but there are many more flowers blooming here. Foxes and squirrels have just had their young, and the red deer will have theirs in just a few weeks. Everyone is getting spring fever. The forest ranger will explain what happens in the forest at this time of year and why we need to be careful not to disturb the animals during the birthing season. But of course, you can still enjoy nature. Advance online booking is required.
