Animal tracks walk on the Lichtenbeek estate

Animal tracks walk on the Lichtenbeek estate

On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a search for animal tracks on the Lichtenbeek estate. What happens in the forest during the cold months? How do plants survive the winter? Which animals hibernate or survive the cold period in other ways? Did you know that cocooning was invented by animals? When there is snow or mud, all kinds of animal tracks can be found, and mushrooms can always be seen on trees. In short, the forest ranger takes participants on a search for all kinds of tracks and tells them interesting facts about animals and plants in winter. Advance online booking is required.
