OOSTERBEEK - On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, the forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a winter discovery tour along the Pietersberg, Hemelse Berg, and Lage Oorsprong. These three estates on the moraine form a picturesque backdrop of stately avenues, winding paths, alder forests, springs, and ponds with waterfalls. Together with the forest ranger, you will walk through a landscape full of elevation differences and stories, where nature and history merge seamlessly. Discover how the area came into being, admire its rich cultural history, and be surprised by the winter tranquility and beauty. Come along and experience a unique blend of nature and history in one of the most beautiful walking areas in Gelderland! Advance online reservations are required.
Time: starts at 1:30 p.m. Duration: approx. 2.5 hours.
Participation: €6.00 per person, children aged 4 to 12 €3.00 per person, donors €3.00 per person, children aged 4 to 12 of donors €1.50 per person on presentation of a valid GLK donor card.
Tip from the forest ranger: The moraine will be climbed several times during the walk.
