STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing an excursion on the Staverden estate on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Join this winter walk and discover, together with the forest ranger, how the animals of Staverden brave the winter. Roe deer and deer search for food under a layer of snow, while squirrels, badgers, and moles retreat to their burrows. Birds that avoid the cold fly south, and insects find shelter in the ground or behind tree bark. During this atmospheric walk, you will learn all about the winter behavior of these animals and we will search for traces of their presence. This excursion is ideal for both young and old to experience how nature adapts to the cold months. Advance online booking is required.
Time: starts at 2:00 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: €6.00 per person, children aged 4 to 12 €3.00 per person, donors €3.00 per person, children aged 4 to 12 of donors €1.50 per person on presentation of a valid GLK donor card.
