The 16th edition of the Kootwijker Veen- en Zandtocht offers a unique walking experience through part of the beautiful Veluwe countryside. Participants can enjoy forest, sand and heath areas on the various routes. Walk along and experience the Veluwe in all its autumn splendor.
Highlights of the tour:
-Experience the varied area of a forest and moorland landscape.
-Enjoy the special fen and raised bog area of Kootwijkerveen.
-Discover the barren shifting sands on the Caitwickerzand.
Anyone who enjoys hiking can participate. Nordic walking poles are allowed. Dogs can come along on a leash. Please note that wildlife grates may be present in the course!
The start/finish location can be reached by public transportation (bus). For travel times check 9292.nl. If you come by car, please keep an eye on the traffic situation. Due to maintenance on the A1 there are regular road closures.
Start times:
-20 km: 09.00-11.00 a.m.
-15 km: 09.00-12.00 hrs.
-10 km: 09.00-13.00 hrs (no rest)
-5 km: 09.00-14.00 (no rest)
Entry fee:
-Participation fee: €5.50 (includes route map with information and walking booklet)
-Members of a recognized walking organization: € 4.50
-Cost of medal: € 2,50

-Register via the 4Daagse Apeldoorn website or at the start from 08.30 to 13.00.
-End of the walk is at 16.00.
