STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a mushroom walk on Saturday, October 18, 2025 on the Staverden estate. Fly agaric, honey mushroom, sulfur cup, elfin bed. Behind these fairy-tale names are fascinating stories. Take a walk with the forester on the Staverden estate and discover how mushrooms cooperate with trees and plants. Many mushrooms live in harmony with trees, helping them absorb nutrients while receiving sugars themselves. This cooperation is essential to the forest ecosystem. Along the way, you will learn more about their shapes, colors and role in the ecosystem. A fascinating tour full of nature, stories and special autumn encounters.
