ARNHEM - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a beautiful bicycle tour through an area northwest of Arnhem on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. We cycle through nature and on country estates near Arnhem, around Oosterbeek and the floodplains of the Lower Rhine. Along the way we take a break in the middle of nature or at one of the catering outlets. The route passes, among others, park Zijpendaal, Planken Wambuis, De Oorsprong, castle Doorwerth, the church on the hill in Heelsum, estate Mariëndaal, estate Warnsborn and Lichtenbeek. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: start at 10 a.m. Duration: approx. 6 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of contributors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: Provide your own lunch and drinks and bring your own bike, preferably an electrically assisted bike. Due to the sometimes narrow paths, the route is unfortunately not suitable for tricycles and handbikes. The distance of the bicycle tour is about 40 km.
