STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a heathland walk on Sunday, August 17, 2025 in the vicinity of Staverden estate. Enjoy the forest and the colorful splendor of the blooming heather during this beautiful walk. Although the estate consists mainly of woodland, meadows and fields, there are also heathlands to be found. Did you know that there are three types of heather, each with their own unique charm: heather, heath and crow heath? We will admire all three while they are (hopefully) in full bloom. The route will take us along about 6 kilometers of trails, where we can enjoy the color and fragrance of the blooming heather and the picturesque views. Advance reservations online are required.
Time: start at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2.5 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of contributors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: wear sturdy shoes.
