Every year in the 1st weekend of August (Friday & Saturday) our Burg Bieren Bierfeest takes place in Ermelo. A unique festival because of its many Dutch breweries present. The first Burg Bieren beer festival was already organized in 1995, then on a small scale. Meanwhile, it has grown into a very popular and atmospheric 2-day beer festival. Beer lovers come from all over the country to enjoy all the beautiful Dutch beers and make a pleasant day of it.
Friday, August 1, 2025 - from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On the first day of the Burg Bieren Bierfeest, as on day two, around 30 breweries will be present with their own special beers. Besides the many tasty beers, there is a lot of attention to culinary refreshments on Friday! Many local restaurants are present with their tastiest specialties. The combo of delicious Dutch beers and beautiful local dishes and the tunes of the Vinyldraaiers ensure that this is an afternoon / evening not to be missed!
Saturday, August 2, 2025 - from noon to 8 p.m.
On Saturday there are also 30 breweries present with a total of over 150 special beers to taste. The inner man has also been thought of. For example, on Saturday there is always a pig on a spit, which will be carved at the end of the afternoon. There is also fresh eel available, this is freshly smoked for you and there are tasty sandwiches and other snacks available. Live music will be provided by entertainer Bob. He knows how to make it a party every year. Café rol will also provide karaoke and fun.
Practical information Burg Beer Festival Ermelo
There is no ticket sale in advance. You buy your entrance at the door and full = full. So arriving on time is recommended. Because at the maximum number of visitors the door will be closed.
The entrance fee is €20. For this you get a festival glass (you need this to drink all drinks, including soda, wine or other), 2 tokens and an info booklet with all present brewers and their beers. This festival glass becomes your property and you keep it with you throughout the festival. There are plenty of rinsing facilities to clean your glass in between. With consumption tokens you can then have it filled up at any brewery of your choice. Food and everything else you pay with consumption tokens as well. Payment is possible with cash and pin. Single consumption tokens are €3.75 each. So it is actually a very large tasting. Staying overnight in the neighborhood is also possible at the many campsites, various hotels or B&B.
- Our Beer Festival is wheelchair accessible. In our pub the toilet is accessible by wheelchair but does not have disabled aids.
- There are many tents and umbrellas on the festival grounds. In good weather against the sun and in bad weather for the rain. Plenty of places to shelter or seek shade.
- All this takes place around our store and beer café on the Putterweg 43-45 in Ermelo.
