ARNHEM - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a walk on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 on estate 't Heidehuis. This estate is located on the northern flank of the lateral moraine of the Veluwezoom and is about 13 hectares in size. What was once a moorland has been reclaimed over time. Today, 't Heidehuis consists largely of a continuous forest area, interspersed with a number of clearings. Crossing the area are lanes in the shape of a cross, one of which served as a church path to the church of Schaarsbergen. In 1918 a house was built that served as a summer residence for the families who owned the area. The forester will tell about this. Furthermore, a visit will be made to the northernmost part of the Warnsborn estate. Finally, those interested can visit the churchyard of Schaarsbergen where there are two national monumental graves, including those of Mr. Baron Brantsen, lord of Zypendaal. Advance online reservation is required.
