STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing an educational walk on the Staverden estate on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Staverden lies in a stream valley between two moraines, which were formed in the penultimate ice age. The landscape created since then has had great influence on habitation, agriculture and nature. From burial mounds to castles and from fields to red deer, everything at Staverden has to do with its location in the stream valley. During a walk, the forester will tell you about the geology, nature and cultural history of this beautiful estate.

Time: start at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of contributors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: The walk is partly on unpaved paths. The walking distance is about 5 kilometers.
