Wildlife observation, De Dellen estate

Wildlife observation, De Dellen estate

HEERDE - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a wildlife observation on Saturday, May 31, 2025 on the De Dellen estate. Nature reserve De Dellen is home to many red deer and wild boar. At the start of the excursion, the forester will inform participants about the animals and their habitat. Once at the wildlife observation post, it is important to be as quiet as possible so that the animals are unaware of our presence. You will stay in the wildlife observation post until sunset, waiting for the wildlife. It may take some time before the animals show themselves, patience is an important trait during this excursion. This will give you a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the tranquility of nature. Hopefully you will get the chance to see some of these majestic red deer and wild boar!
Advance online reservations are required.

Time: start at 7:30 p.m. Duration: approx. 2.5 hours.
Participation: 15.00 euro p.p., donors 7.50 euro p.p., on presentation of a valid GLK donor pass.
Tip from the forester: bring binoculars.

To take into account:
Wild animals are unpredictable; their presence is not guaranteed.
In order not to disturb the animals, it is necessary to maintain silence, turn off your phone and do not photograph.
Wear dark, noiseless and warm clothing and avoid wearing perfume.
The walk to the wildlife observation post takes about 20 minutes (one way) and is partly on a narrow, unpaved and uneven path. On the way back, it is dusk/dark. It is therefore important that you have good mobility.
Participation is for ages 12 and up, without dogs.
