Hidden pearls, Staverden estate

Hidden pearls, Staverden estate

STAVERDEN - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen will organize a surprising excursion through Staverden, the smallest town in the Netherlands, on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Staverden is beautifully preserved as an estate and has a number of interesting farms, special buildings and monuments belonging to the castle, such as a coach house, orangery, chapel and a recreation hall. During the walk around the estate, the forester will tell you about the buildings and their history. The walk follows a route that partly takes you through the closed part of the estate. It also visits a few buildings that you would not normally enter. The walk ends at the visitor center with a snack and drink. Advance online reservations are required.

Time: starts at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 3 hours.
Participation: 10.00 euro p.p., donors 5.00 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK donor pass.
Tip from the forester: Wear sturdy walking shoes. It is a long walk and therefore less suitable for children under 12 years old. The farms and houses are still inhabited as usual and we ask participants to show due respect during the tours.
