STAVERDEN - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a cultural-historical walk on the Staverden estate on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Delve into the fascinating past of Staverden estate. This beautiful estate has a long history dating back to the 13th century. At that time, Staverden estate was a green oasis amid endless heathlands, marshes and sand drifts. During the walk, the forester tells about the development through the centuries of the smallest town in the Netherlands, the castle and its inhabitants. The special stories about the white peacocks and the mysterious black woman of Staverden will certainly not be missed. Advance online reservation is required.

Time: start at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of contributors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: The walk is partly on unpaved paths and a distance of about 5 kilometers.
