Discover the surprising landscapes between the center and Jachthuis Sint Hubertus during this combined cycling and walking tour.
From the Museonder, you will depart with the nature guide by White Bike towards Jachthuis Sint Hubertus. The park-like layout of the gardens, woods and ponds was designed by Berlage to fully match the experience of the Jachthuis.
In the Tea Dome of the Jachthuis you will be provided with a coffee or tea or other beverage. From here you have a beautiful view of the Jachthuis, the ponds and the hidden meditation garden. From the Jachthuis you will return on foot leaving the beaten path several times. The cultivated area around the Jachthuis transitions toward the center into wetter nature, some of which is being developed as so-called paludiculture. Here, wet conditions and selected plantings of water-loving tree species lead to the creation of a wetland ecosystem and greater biodiversity.
This part of the Park contains many old beech and oak avenues where older trees with reduced condition provide ample space for nesting birds, squirrels and martens.
