Learn more about the life of wild boar and join the ranger of Natuurmonumenten on a search for wild boar in National Park Veluwezoom.
The activity starts with a presentation on the life of wild boar. After that there is a brisk walk of about 6 km. We will look for wild boar and the tracks they leave behind.
Presentation
We take a look at the life of the wild boar all year round. You will learn about the mating season with the fight for the female, the maternity home, its appearance, character, highly developed senses and social behavior of wild boar.
Walk
During the hike, the (forest ranger) guide tells fascinating stories about the wild boar. You go into the forest looking for rooting, sweeping and running tracks and droppings. Although no guarantee can be given that wild boar will show themselves during the walk, the forester knows the best places where there is a good chance of meeting them.
