Trees on Veluwezoom. Discover the Wood Wide Web
On Heuven estate, where visitor center Veluwezoom is located, there are many old trees. Trees are beautiful to see and indispensable to our planet. During the walk with a guide from Natuurmonumenten you will discover why trees are so special.
A forest of trees
The trees in the forest make the forest. There are conifers and trees with leaves (deciduous trees). We are going to see what kinds of trees there are on and around the Heuven Estate. We will introduce you to the most beautiful trees.
Wood Wide Web
Besides the Internet that we all know and use, another Internet exists. Scientists call it the "wood wide web," and it lies just beneath our feet in the form of fungi. Through the mycelial threads of fungi, plants appear to be able to contact each other, exchange information and even transport nutrients.
