Freedom walk through forest and heathland led by nature guide Gerard Hendriks. During this walk, stories are told about events around the Ermelosche Heide during World War II.
For example, Ermelo was already liberated on April 18, and in the harbor of Harderwijk a shot from a Canadian tank sunk a ship with fleeing Germans. The remaining ships returned and twenty of those on board were captured.
The route leads past historic sites, including the hiding place at Drie and the post of resistance fighter Jannes.
