DOORWERTH - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a stuwwal walk on the Duno estate on Sunday, March 2, 2025. From Doorwerth Castle we will walk up the lateral moraine. The height difference is about 40 meters. Along the way we pass through dense forests, interspersed with beautiful vistas. The tour continues past the former hamlet of Doorwerth, the Hunnenschans and the Dunoplateau. Reward for all that climbing is a fantastic view from the Dunuplateau over the Betuwe. During the hike, the forester will tell you about the cultural history of the area and nature is also discussed. Before or after the hike, you can also visit the beautiful castle on your own. Booking in advance online is necessary.
Time: start at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2.5 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., donors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of donors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK donor's pass.
