STAVERDEN - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a search for animal tracks on the Staverden estate on Saturday, March 1, 2025. The woods around the Staverden estate are home to many red deer. Although you don't always see these majestic animals, you can discover their tracks in the sand. Even more interesting is to find tracks of smaller animals such as a fox, badger, roe deer or hare. Together with the forest ranger we will look for tracks of everything that lives in the forest, from large and small mammals, birds and insects. We will show how to recognize these tracks and what they tell us about the animals that live here. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: starts at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 6.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 3.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years of contributors 1.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: Bring a pen, magnifying glass and possibly binoculars.
