Surprising walks in forest, heath and agricultural areas
On Saturday 1 and Sunday, March 2, 2025, the Walking Tours Working Group Apeldoorn e.o. of the Stichting Internationale Vierdaagse Apeldoorn will organize the 7th Midden-Veluwe Walking Tour. This one-day trek will pass through part of the area where the 70th Cantharel International Four-Day Apeldoorn will take place in July. Vast forests, moors and farmlands form the backdrop, interspersed with moraines and worn meltwater valleys from the ice age. Did you know that the railroad line from Apeldoorn to Amersfoort was built through one of the largest valleys? So be surprised.
Participation: Anyone who enjoys hiking can participate. Nordic walkers are also welcome. Dogs can come along on a leash. There may be wildlife grates in the trail.
Route Information: The routes are partly unpaved and take you through different landscapes: forest, moorland and agricultural areas. On this one-day tour, the routes are the same on both walking days. The distances are 5, 10, 15 or 20 km.
