OOSTERBEEK - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a walk through time on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, on the Oorsprong and Zilverberg estates. Both estates consist of beautiful and varied areas with woods, fields and water features. The forester will take you on a journey through time and tell you about the history of the two estates. For example, he will show you where the former Zilverberg manor house stood and will explain how water determined the development of De Oorsprong into a renowned country estate. And have you heard that a sugar factory and later a syrup factory stood on the estate and why they disappeared? What all happened during the Battle of Arnhem in 1944 in this area? And have you ever taken a look at the historic swimming pool, which was recently restored? The forester pays attention to all these historical topics along the way. Advance online reservations are required.
