STAVERDEN - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a New Year's Eve walk on the Staverden estate on Monday, December 30, 2024. This interesting walk of about four hours (10 kilometers) offers a fascinating glimpse of life on an estate at the beginning of the last century. The forester tells along the way about the history of the farms, the landscape and the picturesque stream that crosses the area. Halfway through the tour, we'll take a break to warm up with delicious, hot snert. Enjoy the fresh air, historical stories and an enjoyable end to the old year. Time: start at 10 a.m. Duration: approx. 4 hours.
Participation: 12.50 euro p.p., contributors 7.50 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor card.
Tip from the forester: The walk is not suitable for children under 12 because of its length and pace. The walk includes a simple lunch with pea soup. There is of course an alternative for vegetarians.
