WEKEROM - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a night walk at the Wekeromse Zand on Saturday, October 26, 2024. In the Netherlands we suffer very much from "light pollution. There are very few places where we can see more than average stars. To make us aware of this, the 'Night of the Night' is organized every year in the Netherlands. We let participants experience the darkness of the Wekeromse Zand, but also the influence of the light of the surrounding villages. Booking in advance online is necessary.
Time: start at 9 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 8.00 euro p.p., contributors 3.00 euro p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK contributor pass.
Tip from the forester: Participants should note that part of the walk goes through loose sand. This walk is not suitable for children and people with walking difficulties. Dogs prohibited.
