EPE - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a night walk across the Tongerense Heide on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Normally the Tongerense Heide is not accessible after sunset, but for the Night of the Night an exception will be made. The forester takes participants on a walk through the dark. Experience how the environment changes as night begins to fall. The Tongerense Heide is far from roads and villages and is one of the quietest and darkest areas in the Veluwe. Take the chance to walk through the forest in the dark in the silence and return home without getting lost. When there are no clouds it becomes extra special: chances are the Milky Way will be visible. Booking in advance online is necessary.
Time: start at 7 p.m. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
Participation: 8.00 euros p.p., donors 3.00 euros p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK donor pass.
Forester's tip: This excursion is not suitable for children under 12. Sturdy footwear is recommended. In case of hard rain, storm or fog, the hike will not take place.
