STAVERDEN - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen will search for traces of large and small animals on the Staverden estate on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Will you join them? The woods around the Staverden estate are home to many red deer. Although you don't always see these majestic animals, you can discover their tracks in the sand. Even easier is to find tracks of smaller animals. Just pull off a piece of bark from a dead tree trunk and discover the insects living underneath. Together with the forest ranger we will look for tracks of everything that lives in the forest, from large and small mammals, birds and insects. We will show you how to recognize these tracks and what they tell us about the animals that live here. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: start at 2 p.m. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
Participation: 5.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 2.50 euro p.p., donors free on presentation of a valid GLK donor pass.
Forester's tip: Bring a pen, magnifying glass and possibly binoculars.
