ARNHEM - The rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing a nocturnal forest walk on Mariëndaal estate on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Normally Mariëndaal is not accessible after sunset, but during this excursion an exception will be made. You will accompany the forester to the estate. You will be amazed at how light it is when we then go from the dark forest into the open field. The forester will help you recognize the sounds of the forest surrounding us at night. Rustling in the leaves, wildlife on the sand and perhaps calling tawny owls. It is precisely because of these sounds that you will find that a walk you have taken many times during the day can suddenly be very different during the night. Give it a try and walk with the forest rangers. Advance reservations online are required.
Time: start at 7 p.m. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
Participation: 8.00 euros p.p., donors 3.00 euros p.p. on presentation of a valid GLK donor pass.
Forester's tip: Put on sturdy shoes and bring a light. This hike is not suitable for children under 12.
