VELP - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen will organize a walk on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 on Biljoen estate full of culture, nature and history. Biljoen is an old country estate. It is an example of a country estate landscape with a castle, an associated coach house, tenant farms, streams and ponds, park forest and meadows. The nature of the estate is special. For example, there are very old trees, a stream runs through the estate and there are many water features with cascades. There are also special and sometimes rare plant and animal species on Biljoen. An attractive area for walking. The forester pays attention to the history, culture and nature of the estate. Castle Biljoen can be seen, but is not open to the public as well as the private part of the park behind the castle. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: starts at 2 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 5.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 2.50 euro p.p., donors free on presentation of a valid GLK donor's pass.
