Premi�re opera �The art of reconciliation�at Beekzichterfestival in Voorst
June 21 is the national premi�re of the Dutch-language opera The Art of Reconciliation. It kicks off two days of music in Voorst at various locations, indoors and outdoors.
In a time of many tensions in society and sometimes in families, mezzo-soprano Bernadette ter Heyne searches for solutions. She finds them in compassion, love and sincere attention for each other. And of course in connection through music. Existing aria�s have been transformed into contemporary lyrics that hopefully touch people's hearts. The opera will be performed outdoors, in the garden of Huis de Bongerd in Voorst.
Beekzicht Estate
July 6 in the garden of Landgoed Beekzicht is a performance by violinists Tatjana Reuter and Anna Britala of the Noord Nederlands Orkest. They will play works by Prokofiev and Mozart, among others.
After their concert there will be a high tea in the garden of Beekzicht.
Then in the chapel in Voorst there will be a performance by the talented mezzo-soprano Emma van der Scheer. She is a former student of Bernadette ter Heyne and is now studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. It will be an afternoon with a broad repertoire of songs ranging from H�ndel, Rossini, Wagner to Bernstein and Kurt Weill. Also featuring as soloists Bernadette ter Heyne and Gido ter Heyne.
Food and music
After the concert in the chapel, there will be an opportunity to have a bite to eat at Estate Beekzicht based on products from the estate or available nearby. Finally, the band Tucassi will make it an unforgettable day with upbeat �pop meets jazz� music for everyone who cares about music.
