All kinds of stories and myths exist around nightjars, which do not attribute positive characteristics to the bird. This undoubtedly has to do with the mysterious life of the nightjar. During the day you do not or rarely see them, but after sunset the bird produces strange sounds.
We start the walk through the forest and around sunset we will arrive at a spot at the edge of the forest and at the Beekhuizen sand where the nightjar is often found. This is the time they become active and we hope to hear and spot them.
Note: If the weather is bad on this date, the excursion may be moved up a week. Participants will be told in good time.
