Every Thursday you can join the Veluwe Guide in search of wildlife! This bicycle tour is open to everyone. With enough registrations our Veluwe Guide leaves from De Waldhoorn 2.5 hours before sunset. The chance of coming face to face with a wild animal is almost 100%. If there are not enough participants or if the tour is cancelled due to other circumstances, your money will of course be refunded.
The Veluwe Guide will tell you everything about the environment and the wildlife.
Will you spot the 'big five' of the Veluwe?
The surroundings of Otterlo are perfect for a wildlife excursion. The surrounding forests are the habitat of various wild animals. For example, wild boars root through the mud in the morning and red deer can pass the bike path during the wildlife cycling tour. In addition, various birds of prey fly and, of course, you can spot cute squirrels.
With a group of up to 18 people you can discover the forests and moors in the vicinity of Otterlo together with the Veluwe Guide. In doing so, you can use your own bike, but you can also rent bikes. See the Veluwe Specialist in Otterlo for such things as renting a 7-speed bike, electric bike or mountain bike.
Note: The start times vary from week to week. The wildlife excursion starts 2.5 hours before sunset.
