In the Speulderbos near Ermelo stands Wildarena de Witte Hoogt. In the middle of a wildlife sanctuary lies this idyllic place to spot wildlife. From the covered wildlife observation post in the middle of the forest there is a clear view of a clearing, where red deer, roe deer and wild boar regularly show themselves at close range.
The Wildlife Arena can only be visited under the supervision of the Forestry Commission. You meet the guide at the parking lot, after which the electric Speulderbus drives silently to the resting area of the wildlife. There you get off and walk 10 minutes to the Wildlife Arena. Take a seat on the wooden benches and wait for what's to come.... with a little luck, the wild animals will show themselves: an experience to remember. After about an hour, as the sun slowly sets, walk and drive back at dusk.
