On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Joost Spijkers will perform with his band in the Heerder theater de Heerd. Besides his career as one of the Ashton Brothers, Joost Spijkers is also building a solo oeuvre of intense musical theater performances in which he sings, dances and plays as if his life depends on it. And that does not go unnoticed.
"His performances are a cocktail of joy, sadness and desire," the jury of the most important Dutch cabaret award, the Poelifinario, judged Spijkers. His next show also once again won awards. It earned him a nomination for a Poelifinario. And he wins the renowned Annie MG Schmidt Prize 2021 with the song "Welcome Home." Joost Spijkers brings more than a theater concert, because he is so much more than a singer.
He is a great actor and song performer: sometimes soft and tender, sometimes bitter and harsh, sometimes clownish. His amazing musicians play a vast palette of instruments and contribute to the theatricality of the almost completely through-composed performances. The national press is full of praise for this performance and the theater committee is delighted that Joost and his band members are performing at Theater De Heerd.
The performance “Spijkerpaleis†begins at 8:15 pm. Tickets à â'¬21,50 (incl. consumption) are available at the counter of the Heerd and online via www.theaterdeheerd.nl.
Theater de Heerd is located at the Griftstraat 8 in Heerde. (Free) parking is available on the Markstraat, a stone's throw from the theater.
