THE STEEG â€" From Wednesday, December 13 through Sunday, December 17, there will again be Christmas at Middachten. This experience is special for young and old. Castle
The heart of these festivities is, of course, the beautifully lit and decorated castle. Breathtaking from the outside and once inside, the wonder remains. With the many decorated Christmas trees, flower decorations and festive tables, you step into a real Christmas world at Middachten.
Atmospheric Christmas market
In and around the castle is an atmospheric Christmas market with fun Christmas items, handmade art and regional products, tableware, clothing and more. There will also be jams and game pate sold from the estate. Of course, there will be plenty of food and drink. Enjoy live music and performances. Meet Santa and hang a wish in the wishing tree. The enchanting decor of the castle and the coziness and warmth of the Christmas market, make for an unforgettable experience.
Light walk
At the end of the afternoon, around 5 p.m., lots of lights are burning in the castle gardens. With your own lantern made by the children, a garden walk becomes a great experience for young and old alike. You are guaranteed to go home with a smile on your face!

Times: December 13-17: 12:00-20:00 (Sunday 17-12 until 19:00)
The gardens are only open during the light walk from approximately 5 p.m. until one hour before closing.
Entrance fee: All-in ticket Castle, forecourt and light walk: â'¬ 13,00 p.p.,
Children up to 12 years â'¬ 5,-- Children up to 3 years free. Family ticket â'¬ 30,00 for 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 years old. Tickets are available both online and at the box office.
Parking: on one of the meadows of Middachten via Smidsallee, 6994 BJ De Steeg. Signs and traffic controllers will guide you there. Parking costs â'¬ 2.00 per car. Public transportation: bus line 43, from NS Arnhem, Dieren or Rheden.
Accessibility: Castle and gardens are unfortunately not accessible for baby carriages, wheelchair and walker users. The forecourt is. Dogs are unfortunately not allowed.
