Thousands of lights, shimmering garlands, decorated Christmas trees, dazzling baubles and, of course, genuine winter delicacies such as glühwein, chocolate milk and freshly baked waffles… all the ingredients are there for you to find inspiration and shop for the latest gifts and decorations. A visit to Christmas Fair Vorden means the beginning of your Christmas!
Castle Vorden was first mentioned in a deed of sale from 1315, in which Steven of Vorden donated the castle and its outbuildings to his uncle, Dirk of Vorden. It is with this family that the history of Castle Vorden begins. The castle is located in a typically beautiful Achterhoek forest and meadow landscape. Various walking and cycling routes can be followed. For example, you can literally walk from the castle onto the Pieterpad and it forms the most famous part of the Eight Castles Cycle Route. Unique to Vorden Castle is that it has been opened to the public by its current owners Karin and Jos: a unique opportunity to learn about the rich history of the past.

The lush surroundings of the estate and the Castle, the thousands of twinkling lights and the smell of pine trees and crackling fire baskets promise much beauty.
