On Saturday morning, October 28, the Sheep Herd is organizing walks for early birds. These early walks are especially the perfect opportunity to take beautiful photos of the sheep on the moors with the rising sun!
These walks are the only times when walkers are allowed off the beaten track right across the moor.
The morning walks start half an hour before sunrise and are mainly intended for people who want to take beautiful pictures. There is every opportunity to have a chat with the shepherd, but he will only give a short introduction to the whole group at the start.
The early morning walks will continue only if sunshine can be expected. The organization notifies on their website and Facebook page on the Friday prior to the walk whether the early bird walks will go on. The start time is also confirmed there! On the way to the sheepfold, motorists should be mindful of crossing wildlife at such times.
