OOSTERBEEK - The forest rangers of Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen are organizing an adventurous walk on the Mariëndaal estate on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. This walk has beautiful differences in altitude that the forester will name and explain. The estate has not only natural beauty, but also a fascinating history. Explore the monastery that stood here five hundred years ago using the recently made available virtual tour. The forester also points out the presence of boundary posts, an ice cellar and a little temple. Also characteristic of the estate is the so-called berceau (popularly called "the green spent"). Furthermore, during this walk we can admire the Stone Table that once served as a tombstone. Please note that dogs are allowed to run loose in this area. Advance online reservations are required.
Time: start at 1:30 p.m. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
Participation: 5.00 euro p.p., children 4-12 years 2.50 euro p.p., donors free of charge on presentation of a valid GLK donor card.
