Harvest festivals have a long tradition. After bringing in the harvest, it is time for a big party. The Harvest Festival in Ermelo is one of the larger harvest festivals in the country. There are demonstrations of old crafts, there is a farmers market with as many as 75 stalls and a big parade of oldtimer tractors. Thousands of visitors from the far region flock to it.
Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m.
There are numerous demonstrations including grain threshing, mowing, seeding and plowing. Not only is this day interesting for adults, the little ones have also been thought of. They can have fun on a bouncy castle, play in the hay or take a tour in a covered wagon. At the farmers' market there are several stalls selling everything related to the region.
