Over the years a lot has changed, only the steam train between Apeldoorn and Dieren has remained. The steam train is no longer used daily as a means of transportation. Currently, it is used as a special attraction. On the Koningslijn the VSM travels with a large number of steam locomotives, Dutch historic diesel locomotives and carriages through the beautiful landscape of the Veluwe and IJsselvallei and experience a day of railroad transportation from the past.

The Veluwse Stoomtrein Maatschappij has set itself the goal of keeping a moving railroad museum in service. With great care, patience and knowledge, the VSM people work to preserve and maintain the locomotives, carriages and freight cars.
